Supporting under-funded schools in the UK and in certain developing countries by providing technology devices and academic resources.
Education should be accessible to all. We are committed to supporting under-funded schools and removing barriers to enable students to learn.
Supporting schools in the UK
We aim to support as many schools throughout the UK as possible. We are currently focusing on schools in boroughs with particularly high concentrations of economic disadvantage.
We are inviting secondary schools in the London boroughs of Hackney, Islington or Tower Hamlets that are in need of technology devices to support with lessons or to better meet students' needs.
Click below to get in touch with us. Please provide the name of your secondary school, contact name and number and details of the technology needs. A member of our team will contact you to discuss further.
Supporting schools in some developing countries abroad
In addition to supporting schools in the UK, Open Palm aims to support a small number of schools in certain developing countries abroad. This will help to meet basic needs of students.
Open Palm is delighted to provide Agirigiroi primary school in Uganda's Ngora District with academic textbooks for year groups 5, 6 and 7 in the subjects of Maths, English, Science and Social Studies.
With primary school class sizes in Uganda ranging from 50 to over 100 students and most schools having very limited educational resources, Ugandan primary schools are in grave need of support.
This first international project will benefit 350 students by reducing textbook sharing ratios (currently 5-6 students share 1 book) and enable some students to borrow textbooks to support homework needs.
